2016 Honda Pilot Review, Price, release date

Honda has done away with the boxy styling in its outgoing
Pilot for an aerodynamic look that imitates the CR-V.
The 2016 Honda Pilot comes with an array
of interesting features which include an 8-inch display
screen and an enhanced navigation system. So what really
makes this car?

Inside this 7passenger car is more
entertainment that one ever dream of. There are 5 USB
ports, a HDMI port to cater for gaming consoles, one 115V
outlet, two 12V outlets and two headphone jacks that are
all available in standard. A new 7-passenger
configuration coming with second row captain chairs will
availed for buyers will to enjoy the comfort of more
expensive trims. The manufacturer aims to attract as many
families as possible to buy this car. It is for this
reason that they have incorporated many family-friendly
features that includes more seats and an 8 inch display
screen for entertainment purposes.

To make this SUV as appealing as possible to many buyers
especially the Americans, Pilot was designed and will be
built in Ohio, California in Honda’s plants. For the
upper trim levels, 20 inch wheels have been introduced
and are all made of aluminum. The SUV also comes with LED
tail lamps, running lights and headlamps – taking on a
mark from the redesigned 2014 MDX. The model’s additional
length and softer lines, along with its pair of sliding
back doors indeed make it more minivan esque. There is
also an optional panoramic roof. In short, Honda takes
pride in designing a sleek, modern, yet muscular and
commanding exterior form in this car.

Under the hood of this SUV is a 3.5 liter, V-6 engine
that is directed injected with a start-stop technology,
which the manufacturer also refers to as Idle -Stop
Technology’, meant to enhance fuel economy. Buyers have
an option of choosing one of the two transmissions; a
6-speed or a 9-speed that have been incorporated in this
car. This probably one of the lightest cars that Honda
has produced, being 300 pounds less than its predecessor.
New Honda Pilot acceleration of 0-60 mph reaching for
something less than 8 seconds, and a top speed of
approximately 130 mph. It is important to note that
Honda has not yet released any official information
concerning the horsepower and torque of the 2016
Pilot. They are not precise data on fuel
consumption, but it will certainly be less than the
previous model.

Price and release date

The 2016 Honda Pilot will go on sale

information released by the manufacturer during an auto

range of features and the current market prices of its

projected price of around $30,500. However, it will not
be surprising to see it selling at a price slightly
higher than this.
